Stop A Scammer began in 2019 after a friend of our founder lost his savings to a fake crypto trading platform. He'd done his "research" — the site looked professional, had reviews, even a phone support line — but every breadcrumb of warning was buried in scattered forum posts that nobody could find in time.
We built Stop A Scammer to fix that gap: one place where you can paste anything suspicious and instantly see if real people have been hurt by it. No paywalls, no dark patterns, no data harvesting.
Today the site combines live public threat-feed data with reports from people who've been targeted, each reviewed before it's published.

Privacy first
Reports are anonymous by default. We never sell data and never run third-party ad trackers.

Our scam taxonomy is public, and we build on open threat feeds from abuse.ch, OpenPhish and MyEtherWallet.
Reviewed, not viral
Every community report is reviewed before it's published. We'd rather publish ten solid reports than a thousand noisy ones.

Scams are crimes, not failures of intelligence. We write everything to be useful for real people in distress.

Rebuilt the site from scratch around a search-first experience, and began ingesting live threat feeds from URLhaus, OpenPhish and the MyEtherWallet darklist. You're looking at it.
