Spotting Scams
There are so many scams out there it is hard to keep track of it all. The most commonly used one is the Pig Butchering scam and is used to fatten up a victim by having them remit large amounts of money and then when the victim has no more to give the scammer then stops communicating with them, locks their account and runs away with the victims money. Almost all scams favour cryptocurrency because it can move around the world within minutes and generally the owner of the wallet the cryptocurrency is deposited into is anonymous. Cryptocurrency wallets are impossible to break into with today's technology and thus scammers have the ability to take your money without worrying if someone is going to try and take it back. Because of this, it is almost impossible to recover funds that have been stolen.
