Verified Scams

Scams that we have verified are fraudulent and should be avoided

MetaMask Phishing

You may receive the following email claiming to be from Metamask. Beware! This is not real and if you follow the instructions in it, your wallet will be emptied and there will be no way to get your crypto back!

MetaMask does not have your email address. So this could not have come from MetaMask.

When you click the Verify your wallet button, you will be redirected to a website that may look like MetaMask but if you look at the address bar it will not be https://metamask.io but something else. The website will as you to enter your private key (you are NEVER supposed to ever share your private key with anyone). Pay close attention to the URL and make sure that if you do click the email link you don’t follow through with that the scammer is asking for or you will lose everything!
