Recovering Funds

There are many companies or people out on the Internet who claim to be able to help recover lost or stolen cryptocurrency. The reality is that once it has been stolen, it is very difficult to recover. You need to know the following:

  • There is no known way to easily  brute force attack crypto wallets. There is a reason it is so difficult to recover funds that have been lost or stolen. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
  • There is no spyware available on the darkweb that can be easily planted onto someones mobile device. Spyware can only be installed when someone has physical access to a device. Scammers will try and convince you that they will be able to install spyware on the scammers website or device and get your crypto back. Note: Unless the scammer physically can get their hands on the scammers mobile, computer or website there is no way this technique will work.
  • A malware or phishing email to try and get into the scammers wallet is also not realistic because scammers never use real email addresses that are tied to their personal devices
  • Someone who is truly willing to help will never ask you for money upfront.  Scammers usually disguise it as a retainer, a “work process”, software fee or something to make it look legitimat

Here is what typically happens. Many crypto scammers usually ask for a small amount at the start and then keep asking for money due to various reasons that they make up as time goes on. You may be presented with some sort of letter from the crypto recovery scammer but it will not be of any use in getting the stolen cryptocurrency back.
